Q: How do I take care of my 3M film?
A: 3M Paint Protection Film needs no special maintenance. The vehicle should not be washed for 2 days after installation but after that, you can wash the film just like the rest of your vehicle. Since the film has a clear coat, you can even polish and wax it to extend the life of the film. * Do not use waxes that contain dyes or abrasive rubbing compounds.
Q: Is there a cure period after installation?
A: Yes. After the film is applied, you may see tiny bubbles under it for a few days. This is normal and the bubbles will disappear on their own. * Leaving your vehicle in the sun can speed up this process.
Q: How long will my 3M Paint Protection Film last?
A: 3M guarantees the product for 5 years but can last longer if taken care of properly. Film that is washed and waxed will last longer than film that is neglected.
